Thank you to the volunteers for donating the flatbed trailers and pickup trucks for next week's homecoming parade. We have enough committed for our middle school students to have homecoming floats for each grade!
All middle school students are welcome to help with decorating their grade's float(s) on Thursday, September 16th starting at 5:00 pm. All the flatbeds will be decorated at the Sioux Valley bus garage. We are looking for more parent volunteers to help with decorating and supervising. This #ThankfulThursday shout out goes to Mrs. Doyscher, our SVMS special education teacher. Mrs. Doyscher was the first recipient of our monthly Spark Plug award for a staff member that is a "spark" of joy and a champion for students.

Research tells us that missing just two days of school per month can negatively impact student achievement. Last year, the number of South Dakota students missing 30 or more days of school doubled. The start of a new school year is a great time to remind ourselves about the importance of consistent school attendance. Thank you in advance for your partnership with good attendance!
