This #ThankfulThursday shout out goes to Mrs. Vincent, our 6-12 STEM, Technology, and Personal Finance teacher. She is a positive presence for our students and staff who is quick to smile and make a joke. Her positivity is contagious. Mrs. Vincent has been instrumental in launching Wednesday Workshops for the middle school students and working with students to make multimedia content this year for our new scoreboards. She certainly knows her way around the volleyball court as well! Mrs. Vincent, thank you for all you do for our school!
Photography by Mark will be here on Friday, October 1st to take pictures of students that were not at Registration on August 10th. Picture packets are available now at the elementary and middle/high school offices.
If you want a retake because you were not happy with your child's picture, please follow the retake procedures below:
A student must have their blue envelope containing the pictures in order to have a retake picture. If a student does not have their blue envelope, they will be charged for second packet.

It's hard to believe, but midterms are this Friday. Parents, do you know what your students midterm grades will look like? If not, please contact Karen in the MS/HS office to get set up with Parent Portal. It's the easiest way to stay up to date with your child's grades.
Sioux Valley Families:
We would like you to be aware of a concerning trend that has turned up in local schools. A challenge on the social media platform TikTok encourages students to steal or destroy items at school and then post a picture or video of the item as a “trophy.” Our school and schools across the country are noting this concerning behavior. Theft and vandalism have school consequences that include suspensions, financial restitution, and the loss of privileges. These cases will also be referred to the police for charges. Please talk with your student(s) about this trend and make your expectations known to them. We have beautiful facilities in our district and many hard-working staff who take pride in keeping them maintained for our benefit.

Thank you to the volunteers for donating the flatbed trailers and pickup trucks for next week's homecoming parade. We have enough committed for our middle school students to have homecoming floats for each grade!
All middle school students are welcome to help with decorating their grade's float(s) on Thursday, September 16th starting at 5:00 pm. All the flatbeds will be decorated at the Sioux Valley bus garage. We are looking for more parent volunteers to help with decorating and supervising.
